Overview

Experience a deeper side of the Ha Giang Loop, combining its most iconic landscapes with quieter mountain roads, traditional villages, local crafts and cultural stories that are often missed on shorter itineraries.

The journey begins through the greener routes of Thai An and Duong Thuong, with stops at A Boong Waterfall, Ba Tien Mountain and Lung Ho Skyline before reaching Du Gia. These less-traveled landscapes offer a calmer introduction to Ha Giang, with mountain valleys, waterfalls and roads winding through the highlands.

Continue through Sa Ly Slope and the M-Shaped Road to the emerald Nho Que River, Tu San Canyon and Ma Pi Leng Pass. Along the Happiness Road, discover the story of the people who carved this legendary route through the Dong Van Karst Plateau, then visit a traditional old house in Dong Van before settling into the historic mountain town.

Day three goes deeper into the culture of Vietnam’s northern frontier. Travel to the Northernmost Point and Lung Cu Flag Tower, walk through the peaceful H’Mong village of Then Pa, and explore the historic Vuong Family Mansion. Continue to Lao Xa, a traditional village known for generations-old H’Mong silversmithing, before riding through the winding roads of Nine-Turn Pass and Tham Ma Pass toward Yen Minh.

The final day adds another cultural layer with a visit to Lung Tam, where H’Mong artisans transform flax into handmade fabric through spinning, weaving, dyeing and pattern-making. Explore the underground formations of Lung Khuy Cave, then enjoy a more relaxed return through Quan Ba, with scenic rest stops and a possible stream break when conditions allow.

With local cuisine, cozy homestays, a maximum of eight guests and a more balanced pace, the 4-day journey gives travelers more time to experience not only the famous roads of Ha Giang, but also the villages, crafts and everyday life that give the region its character.

Wild roads. Warm care.
